A Tribute to the Fiesta from the Brass Anchor
We received this word from Richie today that the Fiesta has been sold.
I wanted to do something to remember her by, so here is a photo tribute

Subject: Good Luck Capt Bill.....
Got a call the other night from my friend, Capt. Bill Brown. After
twenty four years in the dive charter business his Harley finally won
out. He sold the Fiesta. It's now going to be a full time fishing
boat.
I first met up with Bill and the Fiesta on July 4th, 1992. A friend
of mine had a nice Grady White which we dove off of often. He
decided to up and get married.... and it wasn't going to change
anything. You all know the story... That was the last time he got
in the water. :-)
I needed to find another boat to dive off of. I hooked up with the
Atlantis Rangers and got introduced to Bill and the Fiesta. It
wasn't long before we became friends and the Fiesta became my boat of
choice.
My last dive on the Fiesta was July 12, 2003. I met a lot of great
people and shared many cool experiences during the 11 years diving
with Bill. I learned a lot by watching other divers on the boat and
listening to tips from Bill and the many other divers who also
enjoyed the Fiesta and Bill's easy going ways.... Most of the time.
I'm not sure the Slammer's Captain thought Bill was so easy
going..... But then if someone rammed my boat I guess I wouldn't be
so easy going either. :-)
My son's first Cold water dives were on the Fiesta. A memory I'll
always have with me.
The laughter, the great food, incredible people, wonderful diving,
lot's of lobster & fish, and comfort in knowing that Capt. Bill knew
his shit. Whether it was fixing a mechanical problem, reading the
seas, or handling the boat in any conditions I always knew Bill was
up to it.
Captain Bill & The Fiesta will always hold a special place in my heart.
Maybe if he ever gets tired of his Harley we'll get him back in the
water again....
Bill, good luck, ride safe, and enjoy the weekends as you think of us
poor fools getting up at 4:00 AM or earlier.
We'll miss you on the water.
